ExtUtils::XSBuilder

Hi all,

Would it be reasonable for me to ask questions about
ExtUtils::XSBuilder here, since its authors/users are here? If
not, is there a better place for such questions? I hate asking
authors directly because then nobody else gets to see the
conversation.

I'm trying to use ExtUtils::XSBuilder to wrap a bunch of
libraries that aren't Apache, and I'm having trouble figuring it
out.

Currently there is no better place. In case you are asking any questions,
please CC them to me, because I don't have time to read dev@perl.apache.org
every day. This will speed up the answer :-)

I would be very happy if more people would think like you. There are some
many people outside send Embperl questions directly to me instead to the
list, creating so much extra work...

I am happy to help you and hope we can improve XSbuilder while doing this.

Hi Ken,

I can probably help with WrapXS stuff that's in mod_perl 2.0, which
somewhat overlaps with Gerald's abstraction ExtUtils::XSBuilder. If not
Gerald probably can answer, since I haven't played with Gerald's
version. Anyway, go ahead and explain what's the problem and we will see
what can be done about it. I don't think there is any better place for
this kind of questions at this moment.

BTW, not sure if this document may be of help, but take a look:
