[jira] Created: (JSPWIKI-195) [I18N/L10N]Unnecessary directory 'i18n' in standard binary release

[I18N/L10N]Unnecessary directory 'i18n' in standard binary release
------------------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: JSPWIKI-195
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JSPWIKI-195
             Project: JSPWiki
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Localization
    Affects Versions: 2.6.0
         Environment: *OS* Windows 2000 Professional
*Web Container* Apache Tomcat 5.5.26
*JSPWiki Distro* 2.6.0 standard binary release
            Reporter: David Gao
             Fix For: 2.6.2

Hi,

The directry 'i18n' and its contents are unexpected under /WEB-INF/ folder of *JSPWiki.war* package. They should be removed from the standard distribution.

According to Janne:
{quote}
These seem to be included by accident by the build script. They should NOT be there, as they are useless.
{quote}

*Expected Result*
Please remove the folder from the distro

[jira] Resolved: (JSPWIKI-195) [I18N/L10N]Unnecessary directory 'i18n' in standard binary release

Posted by "Andrew Jaquith (JIRA)" <ji...@apache.org>.

Andrew Jaquith resolved JSPWIKI-195.
------------------------------------

    Resolution: Fixed
      Assignee: Andrew Jaquith

Fixed in 2.6.2-svn-2. Thanks for reporting this. The fix I chose to use involves "whitelisting" what we put in WEB-INF. Now, we explicitly name the things we want in WEB-INF, rather than exclude the list of things we don't want.

[jira] Commented: (JSPWIKI-195) [I18N/L10N]Unnecessary directory 'i18n' in standard binary release

Janne Jalkanen commented on JSPWIKI-195:
----------------------------------------

Thanks for putting this here. But please do not put the time tracking estimates in! They are useless and visually confusing... If a developer wants to track his own time, he's free to do so, but then it's his job to create the time tracking info.

I wonder if there's any way to turn it off?
