[users@httpd] how to know the web servers URL. a newbie
Hi all,
I am new to apache server.
os: windows xp
I am using mysql and PHP. I am running apache2 on my system.
i have created a simple php file for user login with mysql database.
i am bit confused about how to run the php file in my browser.
How can i find the web servers url.
i placed the php file in web server directory."C:\Programme\Apache Group\Apache2".
i tried to run the file using the url "http://localhost/hello.php ". but i get the error page cannot be displayed.
can some one please tell me where can i get the documentation regarding this problem.
Thanks and regards
babu.

there will be a htdocs dir under Apache2 - that's where the file should go.
To confirm check the DocumentRoot directive in the config file.
