is there a release of the UIMA support for open-nlp that we can link
to?
I went to the opennlp home page and looked around for mentions of UIMA -
didn't see any - but may have missed something.
Is there documentation / downloads etc. that can be linked to at this
point, or not yet?

No there is no mention about the UIMA OpenNLP integration
on the web site, but you could link to cvs.
