If OM is used via plugin (without dashboard and private rooms) it would be good to communicate a link for testing audio and video before the session starts. 

It could be some page like network-testing (or the same?). Settings should be saved somehow external e.g. in a cookie. Afterwards these settings (if present) should be used while room entry. Changes like different cams could be handled on demand like now.

Advantages: Settings need to be done one time.
User could test their equipment before the session and enter the room ready to start.
