LZO Codec not found

Hi
I am using HBase version .89.20100924+28 and Hadoop version 0.20.2+737

Last week I converted a table to use LZO Compression. Sometime last night (around midnight) my cluster went down. We I went to start it back up I received this error in the logs.

Caused by: java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.hadoop.compression.lzo.LzoCodec

Where can I get the Codec/jar?

Thanks

-Pete

Hi Jesse,

Yeah, I'd recommend Todd's version as well. I will ask if we should
update the Wiki accordingly.

There may still be an issue with http://github.com/kevinweil/hadoop-lzo and
CDH3B3. I ran into something similar to
https://issues.cloudera.org/browse/DISTRO-45, recently, and switching to
https://github.com/toddlipcon/hadoop-lzo seems to have gotten everything
straightened out.

No as the data is now stored compressed and needs to be read somehow.
You simply have to follow the steps outlined above and get it started
again. :(

Thanks, is there a way to turn off compression on a table when the region servers won't start up?

This wiki shows how to build the lzo jar:
http://wiki.apache.org/hadoop/UsingLzoCompression

You'll get that exception if the jar is not found in lib/.
