Upgrade Questions/Clarifications

I have a couple of questions on upgrading to 1.5.

Is it necessary to upgrade to 1.5 on the subversion server (are there
any changes to the database) or is this just client files? I know dev
staff would need to upgrade to 1.5 client files if wanting to use any
new 1.5 features or bug fixes, I just wasn't sure if the SVN server
itself needed to have this upgrade run in order for them to use 1.5
functionality.

If/when running the install on the server are there any files that need
to be backed up and copied back down (running Apache mods) or is all of
it just a simple replacement?

Thanks

All 1.x clients can interoperate with all 1.x servers. I'm running 1.5
on my workstation and 1.4 on one of my servers, 1.2.3 on another
server. See the release notes for details on what features do and
don't work in a mixed environment.
