[users@httpd] Problem starting apache

In trying to restart apache (it has been up and running for about two months), I recieve an error:

fatal: libexpat.so.0: open failed: No such file or directory

What steps can I take to fix this?

Thanks,
JM

Joseph,
I have come across this once or twice when trying to restart
apache, erroneously as the wrong user. It is related to the erroneous
user not having the correct PATH envionment variable defined. I find
it a good reminder to check my used id.
