[jira] [Created] (GORA-453) Implement bootstraping of GoraCI nodes
with Chef and the JClouds ComputeService
Lewis John McGibbney created GORA-453:
-----------------------------------------
Summary: Implement bootstraping of GoraCI nodes with Chef and the JClouds ComputeService
Key: GORA-453
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GORA-453
Project: Apache Gora
Issue Type: Bug
Components: chef, gora-goraci
Reporter: Lewis John McGibbney
Assignee: Lewis John McGibbney
Fix For: 0.7
Right now, the Cloud-based implementation of GoraCI involves manual installation and configuration of software on each node created by the existing Rackspace orchestration code I implemented.
I've been over on the [JClouds lists|http://www.mail-archive.com/user%40jclouds.apache.org/msg01786.html] and was advised that we can [bootstrap nodes with Chef and the JClouds ComputeService|https://jclouds.apache.org/guides/chef/]. This would means that all GoraCI bootstrapping (Rackspace orchestration and services provisioning) would happen simply by running $GORA_HOME/bin/gora goracisetup
