XMLLogger causes the manifest task to crash

This is the build file testbuild.xml:

    <manifest file="MANIFEST.MF" mode="update">
      <attribute name="Implementation-Title" value="Some Title" />
    </manifest>
  </target>
</project>

I execute testbuild.xml using the following command:
/opt/local/bea/jdk131/bin/java -classpath /export/home/lenzb01/jakarta-ant-
1.5Beta3/lib/ant.jar:/export/home/lenzb01/jakarta-ant-
1.5Beta3/lib/optional.jar:/vobs/ORC/external/lib/weblogicsp2/weblogic.jar 
org.apache.tools.ant.Main -listener org.apache.tools.ant.XmlLogger -debug -
verbose -buildfile /vobs/ORC/scripts/testbuild.xml

And this is the exception I get:
