[Bug 66071] New: Error searching text with Open Office Base

https://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=66071

            Bug ID: 66071
Summary: Error searching text with Open Office Base
           Product: POI
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: PC
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: POI Overall
          Assignee: dev@poi.apache.org
          Reporter: cautic@cadielsa.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 38288

Screenshot showing that "aaaabb" is not found, but "aaaaabb" exists

I have Apache OpenOffice 4.1.12 under Windows 10. I use AOO Base to read/write
a DBF file.

I'm searching the text "aaaaabb" that is stored in a text field. If I press
Control-F and put "aaaaabb", the string IS found.

But if I put in the search dialog the string "aaaabb" (note that there only
FOUR "a", no FIVE) the string IS NOT FOUND.

Its obvious that the string "aaaabb" is contained in "aaaaabb", but AOO can't
find it.

The problem was present in AOO 4.1.11 too.

A screenshot is attached. You can see "aaaabb not found", but "aaaaabb" is
presente in the last line, surrounded by red lines.

NOTE: I was unable to create an Apache Open Office account, this is because a
report this bug here. Thank you very much.

This is Apache POI, you need to report Apache Open Office bugs to the Open
Office project, see https://www.openoffice.org/support/index.html
