   Thanks for the contribution @grebaza - this looks great, but unfortunately having an alternative docker image base will be very difficult to keep in sync with the main image. If there is a reason why Alpine Linux is a better base for the docker image, I suggest starting a discussion/SIP to see if the official image should be migrated to Alpine. I'm closing this PR for now, but feel free to ping me either here or Slack if you wish to discuss alternative ways forward.
