ChangesReader process died with reason: { error, req_timedout } on CouchDB 1.2.2

Hi everybody!

I just wanted to make sure: Has somebody found the actual cause/fix for
{error, req_timeout} issue (long lived bug)?

According to https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/COUCHDB-597. Jan
Lehnardt said that we could check a "1.3.x" branch. Is it possible to
cherry-pick those fixes form "1.3.x" to "1.2.x" code base?
