[jira] [Commented] (HBASE-20477) Document HeapMemoryTuner in refguide

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-20477?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16448405#comment-16448405 ]

stack commented on HBASE-20477:
-------------------------------

Our [~jmspaggi] says this should be on by default which was sort of the idea originally; IIRC, it was the want-of-testing over time and at scale that prevented our defaulting it on.

> This is an old facility that is in danger of disappearing because there is no mention in refguide and because it is private interface, it does not show in the user API. Add doc on how it works. It could probably do with a bit of testing too to make sure it working as advertised.
