Multiple Tomcat 3.2.1 standalone, SSL - one per IP?

I have seen in the archives that it is possible to run multiple instances of
Tomcat using different ports. What I need to do is run multiple instances of
Tomcat 3.2.1 standalone with SSL each on a different IP address on the same
machine.

Each instance must be completely separate from all others. If one instance needs
to be restarted it must not affect any other running instance.

Will I need to create an entirely new copy of Tomcat for each instance I want to
run, or can I just start it using different config files for each instance? From
what I understand of the JVM I think I need a complete copy of Tomcat for each
new instance I want to run.

Also, how will I tell each instance what IP address they should bind to? Would I
define the context only in the Virtual Host section of the server.xml file?

Thanks in advance for your assistance in this matter.
