[jira] [Created] (AMBARI-812) In API , improve partial response support to drill down n levels

John Speidel created AMBARI-812:
-----------------------------------

Summary: In API , improve partial response support to drill down n levels
                 Key: AMBARI-812
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-812
             Project: Ambari
          Issue Type: New Feature
            Reporter: John Speidel
            Assignee: John Speidel

In the REST API, the current implementation of partial response only allows for expansion one level deep. To provide flexibility to the user, it is important to allow partial response to drill down n child levels.

For example:
http://myHost/api/v1/clusters/myCluster?fields=services/components/host_components
