[jira] [Commented] (SHIRO-499) Kerberos Realm

Vipin Rathor commented on SHIRO-499:
------------------------------------

Hello Shiro Experts,

Recently, I put a patch in Apache Zeppelin for SPNEGO support. Since Apache Zeppelin uses Shiro for authentication requirements, I implemented it using Shiro style realm and authc filter. It is based on HadoopAuth found in Apache Hadoop Common project.

Please do check this out and let me know if it is worth patching in Shiro. I'd love to do that.

Thanks!

> I'm working on adding a Kerberos Realm to Shiro. My approach is to port over the Kerberos support that is in Hadoop and make it work in Shiro.
> Should have a patch this week, I hope, although I am new to Shiro.
