Hi Folks,

Is there a way to remote debug webhcat? If so, how to enable the remote
debug?

Thanks,
Na

I would say that starting a new page for Developer Notes or something is
exactly what we need.

Since it's not enough information for a new wikipage, how about adding it
either after Error Codes and
Responses<https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/Hive/WebHCat+UsingWebHCat#WebHCatUsingWebHCat-ErrorCodesandResponses>in
the Using WebHCat doc or as a subsection of Server
Commands<https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/Hive/WebHCat+InstallWebHCat#WebHCatInstallWebHCat-ServerCommands>in
the Installation doc?

*Side issue:* Uh oh, Server
Commands<https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/Hive/WebHCat+InstallWebHCat#WebHCatInstallWebHCat-ServerCommands>
has
an ant and the Requirements section after it has another:

yes, I think that would be useful in 'developer' section of WebHCat wiki,
which doesn't exist right now.

if you take webhcat_server.sh as currently in trunk, it supports startDebug
option that will let you attach a debugger to the process
