jclouds issue http://code.google.com/p/jclouds/issues/detail?id=539 addresses this.

In the meantime, the attached patch may help, since it avoids images with EBS in their description. Note that users can always select a particular image by ID (although this begs the question of how they find a good image - having some tools to search would be a useful addition).
