SMTP Auth and authentication by IP-address

Hi,

up to now we used James only from our local network (and special dedicated
IP-addresses; via "RemoteAddrNotInNetwork"). Mails are sent by users AND are
automatically generated by scripts. Now we need to enable external access to
James. So i activated SMTP Auth.

My problem now is, that the scripts are not allowed to send mail anymore
(->auth required). How can i correct this (without rewriting the scripts, if
possible)? The easiest way seems to be something like "need SMTP Auth OR
Sender with allowed IP-address" - but how do i configure this?

Thanks in advance
Mathias

I had not noticed this e-mail before (it came in when I was away for a
while, and I never caught in in the backlog), but this topic has come up
again. Unless there is a reason not to add this feature, I will probably
add it shortly for v2.2.0.
