Should we keep appendix in our LICENSE.txt?

Hi,

I found that our LICENSE.txt file includes the appendix 'How to apply the
Apache License to your work' at the end of the file. Is this appendix
section mandatory or does it have to be removed? Otherwise, is it
completely optional?

It is optional. It probably should be removed when the Apache License
is only one of several licenses in a given product's LICENSE file.
