Deploying workbench on Tomcat 5 + Java 5

Has anyone experienced trouble on Java 5 + Tomcat 5 ?

First of all I had to change the build scripts for the examples to -source
"1.4" -target "1.4", as the default didn't compile.

When I then copied the .war file to webapps, Tomcat failed to load the app.

Catalina.out just sais Error instantiating servlet class.
