[jira] [Commented] (SOLR-8850) SolrCLI.java Fails if Basic Authentication is Set

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-8850?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15194529#comment-15194529 ]

Esther Quansah commented on SOLR-8850:
--------------------------------------

As a workaround, authentication was hardcoded into the start script and connection to Solr was made.

> When you put solr in BasicAuthentication Mode, the Solr start script uses the SolrCLI.java file to make an HTTP connection to Solr to see if it is up, so if basic authentication is set then the SolrCLI.java will fail. This appears as a timeout at the command prompt, even though Solr is up.
