IntelliJ does not like the path constructions for the config files in GoraCassandraDriver#setUpClass 

That's fine, 'cause they are extraneous as they are on the classpath and DatabaseDescriptor starts looking there if it can't find files (this behavior is  probably new from when you first wrote this so it's all good).
