   We can see on the new build how the `ARROW_GIT_ID` variable is correctly populated now too:
   ```
   --   ARROW_GIT_ID=f94a14ddd3a5271a3779b831da482dfe212d57a7 [default=""]
   --       The Arrow git commit id (if any)
   ```
