[STATUS] 1.3b2 release
As of:
Thu Oct 16 10:36:01 EDT 1997
Release:
1.3b2: Try for a roll and release on Oct 16, '97 (This Thursday).
1.3b1: There is no 1.3b1
Plan:
* All <<TO BE COMMITED>> patches should be commited by
Oct 16 17:00:00 EDT 1997. If not, then the RM will commit
them
* All other patches must be approved and commited before the
above date-time in order to make it into 1.3b2
* At some point after that, the RM will roll the 1.3b2 tarball
and "start" 1.3b3-dev
* RM will then compose a Release Message and ask for votes/
suggestions for the message. We should shoot for an
announcement by Friday afternoon.

* makefile: exit when a subdir fails

* suexec wouldn't build without LOG_EXEC
* mod_imap declines non-GET methods
* PR#1139: mod_include evaluates some exprs with && or || incorrectly

<19...@deejai.mch.sni.de>

<19...@deejai.mch.sni.de>
Status: <<TO BE COMMITED>>
Note: RM doesn't have a recent copy. To make it
in 1.3b2 tarball, someone needs to commit!
* Paul's Win32 service errors
<Pi...@ecstasy.localnet>
Status: Paul +1
In progress:
* Martin Kraemer's [PATCH] Parsing URI into its components
This has "evolved" into a new module: util_uri. Martin
will post when it's at a state where he's happy with it.
Needs patch:
* Gemini port (SCO + UnixWare)
see <Pi...@twinlark.arctic.org>
* AIX >= 4.2 could use -DNET_SIZE_T=size_t
Open issues:
* The PR#918 patch above appears to have been bogus, should be fixed or
reversed. It has been reversed for now.
* Martin's SEGV, and Alexei's GP Fault under windows (probably the same)
* make install issues
* FLOCK mutex problems under FreeBSD and others
* Win32:
mod_info
Test mod_rewrite
SERVER_BUILT
crypt() replacement (but see crypt32.dll)
- Ben has a more-or-less working install:
- doesn't install as a service on NT
- doesn't patch the config files
- win95 doesn't seem to serve up index.html, NT dos
* Marc's [BUG] include virtual and SCRIPT_NAME w/path_info
<Pi...@alive.znep.com>
* Ken's perl logfile splitter
Ken wants votes, but no matter what, he'll add it
after the tarball.
1.3b3 Considerations:
* Dean's libap.a concept

I cannot commit... (Does the apache group still consider allowing me
CVS access? Maybe it would become easier...)
The original patch mail is appended - it's a one-liner.
