Aleksandr Mashchenko commented on WW-4626:
------------------------------------------

Have you seen that you can define your own pattern for the email validator?

> EmailValidator flags .cat emails as invalid
> -------------------------------------------
>
> Key: WW-4626
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WW-4626
> Project: Struts 2
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: XML Validators
> Affects Versions: 2.3.28
> Environment: Linux, AWS, Solaris
> Reporter: Jesus Ciriano
> Priority: Minor
> Fix For: 2.3.29

> I've a customer with .cat email who gets an invalid email error message.
> .cat is a valid TLD as of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.cat
> It was approved in September 2005
> After checking the documentation at
> https://struts.apache.org/docs/email-validator.html it seems the pattern doesn't not include .cat domain
> I've seen that WW-4569 solves the same problem with .tech
> Thanks in advance
