HBase sink - sync or async?

Hi,

Is the Flume NG HBase sink sync (using HTable?) or async (e.g. using asynchbase)?
If the former, is anyone working on the latter?  Or should we open a new JIRA issue for that?

Thanks,

Hi,

I do not see any reason. It might make sense as a separate Sink? Not sure.

Thanks Brock.  And there is no technical reason why it couldn't use it, right? i.e. it makes sense for me to go an open the JIRA issue?

Thanks,

Hi,

It does not use the asynchronous hbase client.
