Yes, it is possible with Json facet api. Request (json facet part) looks like this:
{code:language=java}
"facet" : {
  "availabledates" : { 
     "field" : "departuredate",
     "type" : "terms",
     "limit" : 100,
     "facet" : { 
        "card" : "hll(accommodationid)"
     }
  }
}
{code}
