[jira] [Created] (INFRA-10691) Problems with mirroring

Sebb created INFRA-10691:
----------------------------

             Summary: Problems with mirroring
                 Key: INFRA-10691
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-10691
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: Mirrors
            Reporter: Sebb

There seems to be some serious problems with the mirroring system.

The mirror list keeps showing messages of the form:

mm-merge: not enough 'ok' mirrors (91<100)
mm-merge: not enough 'ok' mirrors (71<100)

There was an e-mail to the mirror list stating:

"We haven't been able to sync since yesterday morning due to
@ERROR: max connections (80) reached -- try again later
Either that limit needs to be raised or some dead connections cleaned up...
rsync.apache.org currently resolves to 140.211.11.105 for us."

Also, the mirror listing shows severe problems with some of the backup hosts:

Note that rsync and http to the US host are hanging.

There are also problems with running from the US:
