Cannot find usages in NB 12.0.
After deleting the cache directory as is the habit I have picked up in my
long-time NetBeans use, I cannot find usages on anything. I do not see red
or yellow lines when I expect to see them.
I've gone back to 11, but would like to know if this is a known problem,
and if it is, what can be done to correct it.

Sorry, but that argument is backwards! If it is a bug in 12.0*, and
it's not reproducible in 12.1 or in daily builds, then it could narrow
down a fix that needs backporting. This is generally how LTS releases
work in most projects, surely?
* if after cache deletion, could be central / local indexing, or a
dependency build, not completed?

I've also come across this issue in 12.0u1 (status of 12.0 unknown) , it
appears to be fixed in 12.1.
NetBeans versions: 12.0u1, 12.1
Windows 10 Home

First of all, do we have the issue identified? The fix in 12.1 could be
a byproduct of other changes. We are planning to have a 12.0-u2
somewhere in the near future, if there would be a fix for this issue,
then it could be released with that. But first of all we shall need more
than saying it does not work in 12.0 but fixed in 12.1

Surely, to "cross thread" perhaps against normal practice, the argument
that was presented in the "12.1?" thread ("it's not an update, it's a
feature release") doesn't stand up when the suggestion for fixing a bug
in an LTS release ("extensively tested") is "can you reproduce it in
the non-LTS version" ?
