[DISCUSS] Camel 2.2.0 release

Hi,

I did some pre-relese dry runs in the past couple of days. The trunk is stable and the issues for 2.2.0 are closed.

I think it's time to start the 2.2.0 release unless you think that there's some pending issue that absolutely must go in 2.2.0. Please shout.

Thanks,
Hadrian

Hi Hadrain,

William Tam fixed the issue last weekend, I also verified it.

I think we are ready to cut the Camel 2.2.0 release.

Hi,

I created a JIRA[1] for it and will try to resolve this issue this
afternoon.

Okay got that one fixed. Now CGLIB enhanced classes works with the
Camel parameter binding annotations.

Fantastic.

I am on CAMEL-2384 which I would like to get fixed for 2.2. I ran out
of battery at the airport but I got an unit test setup for it, so its
just a matter of getting the fix in :)

That's absolutely no problem, Hadrian. Do you need to create another PDF
from the Wiki or can I add my documentation addition/changes right now?
Does anything speak against a checkin into 2.3-SNAPSHOT within the next
few hours?

Cheers,
Martin

Sorry Martin,

Unfortunately, it seems that nights or weekends are the best time to cut a release. It took me 12 hours, a bit more than the previous release. Most of the time is consumed by the artifact upload and a less busy net helps. I sincerely hope we won't find blockers that would require re-releasing, but hopefully we'll stay busy and have another release in a couple of months or so.

Cheers,
Hadrian

You've been faster, Hadrian :) Wanted to checkin this morning (no time
left yesterday evening), because I expected you'll start the release
procedure on Monday. I'm going to add my changes to 2.3-SNAPSHOT.

I just finished my work on

https://issues.apache.org/activemq/browse/CAMEL-2409
https://issues.apache.org/activemq/browse/CAMEL-2370

(code, tests and documentation) and would like to get it into the 2.2.0
release. The changes are local to the camel-gae component, no changes in
other Camel modules. If there are any objections, please let me know.

Thanks,
Martin
