ajp13 and mod_jk.conf-auto

How does one go about making the auto generated
mod_jk.conf-auto use ajp13 for the JKMounts? I've been
reading and rereading the howtos and list archives,
but I'm missing this bit of info. Is it a better
practive to write ones own mod_jk.conf and have Apache
include that instead? BTW, I did put the section into
server.xml for ajp13.
