Hello!
I'm newbie in Tapestry.
I'm appreciating very much the tapestry approach. I checked out the cvs
repository of apache in a eclipse project and build the tutorial 2 that
until now is the best documentation of tapestry to me. Unfortunately
some
good chapters aren't wrote until now, but the chapters wrote are very
elucidative. I have one suggestion that is an chapter about java script
templates, how it works, how develop components that use scripts. 
There are some questions that I want to do.
The first is about how strong is the tapestry community? I'm doing this
question because since I'm evaluating a non standard approach I need to
know if the community is committed with the framework. I decide to use 
Hibernate instead of JDO because It seams to work very well to me, the
threads about it in theserverside are full good quotes(the quotes about
tapestry are excellent too an it was how I have the first contact with
tapestry) and the community around Hibernate is very strong. I've 
submitted an patch to documentation translation to pt-br(Brazilian
Portuguese) and will try to do the same with tapestry documentation if
I decide to use it. Since I subscribed the Hibernate list I received so
much e-mails that I turn on the digested. I'm reading the list from
Tapestry since April an It seams slow to me (I'm not trying criticizing
I'm
just want to now if it's right decision, I'm sure about the technical
decision I'm not sure about other perspectives).
The second question is about components. Reading the documentation it
seams easy do components but I try to search about component
repositories in wike and other places but I did not see components like
menu and others that use DHTML. I sow an tree-view in the list but it is
not part of contribution ,why? I m doing this question because before I
evaluate Tapestry I evaluated the Echo / EchoPoint framework and there
are a lot of dhtml components.
Third is about production sites that are using tapestry 2.3 now can you
show some of it to me. I tried to search for ¨powered by tapestry¨ in
goggle and dint find results.

I hope all this question have good answers because I really want use 
Tapestry/Hibernate in my applications.
