Summary: Redirect stdout and stderr to logging system
           Product: Commons
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows XP
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Logging
        AssignedTo: commons-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: wim.deblauwe@gmail.com

Hi,

I would like to have any output from stdout and stderr redirected to the
configured logging system. I know I can do this with log4j by using
LoggingOutputStream (See
http://cvs.apache.org/viewcvs.cgi/jakarta-log4j/contribs/JimMoore/LoggingOutputStream.java?view=markup).
Is there a way to do this without directly depending on log4j?

regards,

Wim
