           Summary: Problems with APR_POOL_DEBUG
           Product: APR
           Version: HEAD
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: APR
        AssignedTo: bugs@apr.apache.org
        ReportedBy: peter.steiner+apache@hugwi.ch

I had two problems when using apr_pools.c from version 1.2.7 with the debugging
code enabled:

- My compiler (VC8 / VS2005) wouldn't compile it because of a difference
  of two void pointers
- I got an exception when opening the 'file_stderr' file. I tracked it down
to apr_pool_log_event requests from within the file_open function that
reference the not completely initialised 'file_stderr'.
I solved this issue by using a temporary handle and assigning it to
file_stderr only after the file_open function returns.
