[jira] (MDEP-359) includeScope also includes provided scope
Karsten Ohme created MDEP-359:
---------------------------------
Summary: includeScope also includes provided scope
Key: MDEP-359
URL: https://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MDEP-359
Project: Maven 2.x Dependency Plugin
Issue Type: Bug
Components: copy-dependencies
Affects Versions: 2.4
Environment: Windows 7, Java 64 Bit 1.7.0_06
Reporter: Karsten Ohme
Attachments: Maven copy-dependencies scope Bug.zip
The includeScope property does not include only compile dependencies but also provided dependencies. This can be verified by the attached example.
<configuration>
<!--dependency plugin fails here and also includes the scope provided -->
<includeScope>compile</includeScope>
</configuration>
This bloats the directory with tons of files in my case.
Also specifying an excludeScope does not work.
Workaround: specify <useSubDirectoryPerScope>true</useSubDirectoryPerScope> and use only the result form the corresponding directory.
