Great stuff. Quick question though: I see that this JIRA is opened against both 0.3.1 and 0.5.0 -- does that mean that Ambari is now capable of supporting Hadoop 2 based clusters?

Bruno Mahé commented on BIGTOP-709:

I would also avoid committing to Apache Bigtop 0.3.1 or 0.5.0 until someone commits to the work and timeframe.

Regarding Apache Ambari (incubating):
* Does it work across CentOS, Fedora, Debian, Ubuntu, Suse and openSUSE?
* What would be the workflow from an Apache Bigtop point of view?
* Can a package of Apache Ambari (incubating) built from Apache Bigtop can be pointed at an Apache Bigtop repository for managing the components?
* Can an instance of Apache Ambari (incubating) installed on a Debian (for example) manage a cluster under another OS?

Agree. I will restart the VOTE thread for 0.3.1 today. If there's enough movement on this JIRA we can include it to 0.3.2, but for now I will leave it aside.

+1 Bruno. Besides, we still haven't settled on the BOM for 0.3.1 (which has been partially contingent on Ambari coming around, etc.)
