CfV: Release Velocity 1.5

Let's do it.

The list of changes
(http://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/ReleaseNote.jspa?version=12310253&styleName=Text&projectId=12310104&Create=Create) is much longer than it ought to be, the number of open issues is more or less down to zero and no new issues have been reported with beta 2. I think, it is time now.

Stuff that I do expect to change between "now" (CfV) and "then" (Relase)
are all non code:

- Further work on the docs
- A Maven 2 POM so that the Mavenatics don't need to pull velocity.jar
and velocity-dep.jar in all the time
- Updates on the xdocs themselves.

[ ] +1 Let's do it
[ ] 0 I don't care
[ ] -1 No, because __________________

The vote will go for ~72 hours, that is Saturday, 27th, 18:00 MET
(http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?month=1&day=27&year=2007&hour=18&min=0&sec=0&p1=37)

My vote is +1

	Best regards
		Henning

Jeez, all that discussion about labeling people and then in all the
political correctness I forgot the most important line:

Enough members of the PMC voted with "+1". :-)

[VOTE] Release Velocity 1.5 (was: Re: CfV: Release Velocity 1.5)

Posted by Henning Schmiedehausen <he...@apache.org>.
[ for the nitpickers... ;-) ]

Let's do it.

The list of changes
(http://issues.apache.org/jira/secure/ReleaseNote.jspa?version=12310253&styleName=Text&projectId=12310104&Create=Create) is much longer than it ought to be, the number of open issues is more or less down to zero and no new issues have been reported with beta 2. I think, it is time now.

Stuff that I do expect to change between "now" (CfV) and "then" (Relase)
are all non code:

- Further work on the docs
- A Maven 2 POM so that the Mavenatics don't need to pull velocity.jar
and velocity-dep.jar in all the time
- Updates on the xdocs themselves.

[ ] +1 Let's do it
[ ] 0 I don't care
[ ] -1 No, because __________________

The vote will go for ~72 hours, that is Saturday, 27th, 18:00 MET
(http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?month=1&day=27&year=2007&hour=18&min=0&sec=0&p1=37)

My vote is +1

can you please do votes in the conventional way, using the word
"vote" on the subject line?

For example :

   [vote] : Release Velocity 1.5

it makes it easier if you follow the convention for people scanning
mail lists for important things.

Shall we hold the vote and discussion on the dev list? Doesn't seem a
need to cross-post to private.

This is exciting. What's the status with the docs?

Even if you don't make a patch, putting it in JIRA will help us
remember the idea. :)

Request for New Feature for 1.6

Posted by Steve O'Hara <so...@pivotal-solutions.co.uk>.
I couldn't see it on JIRA so I'd thought I'd ask here.
I would like to be able to overload macros i.e. same name, different
number/type of parameters.
I will see if I can figure it out myself (if I can just get the code to
compile in IDEA) and submit a patch but just in case someone else has
done it, I'm all ears.

Thanks,

Steve
