[Bug 69166] New: UNCList documentation typo?
https://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=69166
Bug ID: 69166
Summary: UNCList documentation typo?
Product: Apache httpd-2
Version: 2.4.60
Hardware: PC
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Core
Assignee: bugs@httpd.apache.org
Reporter: michele_bottiaux@natureserve.org
Target Milestone: ---
I didn't prioritize this as a BLOCKER but it is definitely a blocker for us.
Is the documentation for the new core directive UNCList correct? Should there
be a space between UNCList and hostname?
https://httpd.apache.org/docs/current/mod/core.html#unclist
I must use this new directive and cannot get it to work, but did try it with a
space between UNCList and hostname, with hostname both without and with
double-quotes.
Assuming the ... means that more hostnames could be added just back-to-back
with a space between, but that wasn't clear either.
Adding an example in the directive documentation would be very helpful.
I have not tried this in todays GA release 2.4.61, but it doesn't look like
this would have been touched.

Sorry, it is misformated/bad and I will take a pass through it.
It should be e.g.
```
UNCList example.com other.example.com
```
or
```
UNCList example.com
UNCList other.example.com
```

spoke too soon, the 2nd form doesn't work. I've just made some clarifications
in the doc that should show in a few minutes, including syntax, an example and
ordering warning.
You can see the unformatted change here:
https://svn.apache.org/viewvc/httpd/httpd/trunk/docs/manual/mod/core.xml?r1=1918892&r2=1918891&pathrev=1918892
tentatively resolving, please re-open if still bad.

Our config only needs one hostname specified at this time, but more clarity
will help others for sure.
Cheers!
