So, I have a design question.
Currently, the `GenericListBuilder` enables someone to append a null list with items. This is done by appending a few items using the `values()` sub-builder, then calling `append(false)`.
Is this considered to be a desirable usage pattern, or should I forbid it in the strongly typed API by only allowing the semantic equivalent of `push(Option<&[T]>)`?
