Findbugs update

Findbugs has just been updated to find additional issues- the current 
version is 1.1.3.

One of the new things it finds is uses of java.net.URL.equals(...) and 
hashCode().  It turns out
these methods make blocking calls to DNS services on the internet.

We have some of these in our code - maybe they can be fixed?
