[jira] [Updated] (PDFBOX-2476) PDFBox doesn't display math
characters and symbols

Diego Casella updated PDFBOX-2476:
----------------------------------
Description:
Hi all,
as mentioned in the title, I'm facing that strange issue using PDFBox 1.8.7. If I open the generated PDF with Gnome Document viewer, the PDF looks good but, as soon as I try to load it into a Java JPanel, some symbols are missing.
Here I've attached:
* the original .latex file, compiled by simply calling "pdflatex test.latex";
* the generated PDF file, called "test.pdf";
* a test program, called PDFTest.java;
* a screenshot of Gnome Document Viewer and my test applet;
As you can see in the screenshot, curly and standard brackets, "pi" sign, and the square root symbols are missing/partially rendered. Am I missing something?
Thanks,
Diego.
