Berkeley DB 4.0 patched packages

Hi!

I wrote this micro article and made some db4 files which could be useful
for somebody.

Intro

I needed to setup a subversion server in a chrooted Red Hat Linux 9
server running inside a Red Hat Linux 7.3.

Then appeared the documented problem of NPTL incompatibilities between
some combinations of Linux kernel and Glibc.



My solution

After some investigation I've concluded to recompile my db4 files with
the configure option «--disable-posixmutexes».

This seems to run for me now.



The files

The patched packages (including sources) are availaible for downloading
on my server. 

Use them freely.
