Spot domain registration info?

I'm watching the demo video and it mentions that an analyst has access to
domain registration information when using the Open Data Model.  How is
this information made available to Apache Spot?  Does it call an external
service?  Is it a data dump that's received from somewhere?  If I'm
supporting a system on an isolated network how can I populate this data?
