   @flolas The connector registers a replication peer (so to say another cluster to replicate to). This custom replication peer then translates WAL edit replication calls into events for flink.
   
   Replication must be activated in the HBase configuration. I assume admin permissions are needed for that. Other than that, I found [this](https://docs.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/6/6.3/topics/cdh_bdr_hbase_replication.html#topic_20_11_4), which explicitely states that replication commands must be called with user permissions.
