tomcat 3.2.2 class in servlet.jar not found when using xsl-taglib under linux, works under windows
hi,
as I've tried to summarise in the subject already, I run tomcat 3.2.2
both under linux (suse 7.0) and under windows (2000). The linux-box uses
java 1.2.2, the windows-box java 1.3. I have xerces/xalan and the xsl
taglib installed on both systems. when I use the taglib, it works under
windows, but fails under linux as shown below :
Internal Servlet Error:
javax.servlet.ServletException: javax/servlet/jsp/tagext/TagExtraInfo
at org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServlet.service(JspServlet.java:508)
at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:853)
at
...
Root cause:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/servlet/jsp/tagext/TagExtraInfo
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass0(Native Method)
...
I've written another jsp, which displays the class-path. The servlet.jar
is part of it. Anyway, here is the classpath under linux :
/opt/jakarta-tomcat-3.2.2/lib/ant.jar:/opt/jakarta-tomcat-3.2.2/lib/jasper.jar:/opt/jakarta-tomcat-3.2.2/lib/jaxp.jar:/opt/jakarta-tomcat-3.2.2/lib/parser.jar:/opt/jakarta-tomcat-3.2.2/lib/servlet.jar:/opt/jakarta-tomcat-3.2.2/lib/webserver.jar:/usr/lib/java/lib/tools.jar
any help is relly appreciated,

Using Tomcat with Taglibs requires jdk-1.3.
