RE: Newbie Setup Question (fixed)

Hi Noel,

That did it, thanks! Can you help me understand why that was neccessary so I
can troubleshoot those things myself in the future (teach me to fish, as it
were)? :)

Kenny,

Actually, I don't recall if I ran into any problem if JDBCVirtualUserTable
were to map to user@localhost for an original domain not specified in the
list. You can certainly give it a try.

Hi Noel,

Yes, I plan on handling multiple domains. Am I going to have to alter the
config.xml everytime I add a new domain?

Since I just got the server functioning today I'll have more feedback for
you on the usage of JDBCVirtualUserTable in the future, but so far it seems
to work along the reasonable-expectation principle (if I make an assumption
about how it works, it seems to follow the same rules of common sense that
my mind uses). So, thumbs up! :)

Pretty much.

Are you planning to handle multiple domains? How have you been finding
JDBCVirtualUserTable so far?

Hi Noel,

I've been thinking about it and tell me if I'm close..

<sentence runon="true">
The servername list tells James what hosts it handles mail for, so when it
received an email for hedwig.journalscape.com it knew it was responsible for
it, but then the JDBCVirtualUserTable resolved kenny@hedwig.journalscape.com
to the local kmail user, then James did another determination if it was
supposed to handle the mail, but since localhost wasn't listed in the
servernames, it figured it wasn't responsible for the email and tried to
deliver it remotely?
</sentence>
