Summary: Filter-mapping matches "/" (should only match "*.do" and
"*.jsp"
Product: Tomcat 5
Version: 5.5.4
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Windows 2000
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Catalina
AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: asf-bugzilla@lotk.de
Hello,
in my web.xml I got this filter
<filter>
<filter-name>RequestFilter</filter-name>
<filter-class>de.lotk.webftp.servlet.RequestFilter</filter-class>
</filter>
with this filter-mapping:
<filter-mapping>
<filter-name>RequestFilter</filter-name>
<url-pattern>*.do</url-pattern>
</filter-mapping>
<filter-mapping>
<filter-name>RequestFilter</filter-name>
<url-pattern>*.jsp</url-pattern>
</filter-mapping>
so only JSP-Files and Struts-Action should be filtered.
Unfortunately tomcat also matches a call to the context-root:
DEBUG http-8080-Processor25 de.lotk.webftp.servlet.RequestFilter - No valid
Session - redirecting Request "http://localhost:8080/webftp/" to:
"/webftp/sessionTimeout.jsp"
With other application-servers this doesn't happen...
Best regards
Stephan
