DO NOT REPLY [Bug 49068] New: UTF-8 URL Encode error

https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=49068

           Summary: UTF-8 URL Encode error
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.2.14
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows Server 2003
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: mod_proxy_http
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: benewu@gmail.com

When model_proxy_http handle url with Chinese by UTF-8 character set, it
encode incorrectly.
for example:
request url:
local/Rayco-%E9%99%88%E7%A7%80%E6%A2%85-20100329
proxy handled:
local:5080/Rayco-\xe9\x99\x88\xe7\xa7\x80\xe6\xa2\x85-20100329

When I use model_proxy_http 2.2.9, it work correctly.

You could find the exact 2.2.x release where the behavior changed. (I can't
tell from CHANGES what would have caused this change. Are any other developers
aware of recent changes related to URL encoding?)

Win32 binaries for 2.2.10-2.2.13 are available at
http://archive.apache.org/dist/httpd/binaries/win32/
